18th Duel [Audio]
[Alright in an attempt to put the whole weirdness of what was Valentine's behind him, Hawke's been busying himself with a pet project.]
So does anyone know where a man might be able to get a decent ring around here?
[Honestly you think he would have found a decent one by now after all his years of adventuring. Of course even if he did he probably sold it.]

What kind of 'ring' are you lookin' for, mate?

[You better be asking this for this ring for who he thinks you are asking!]
[Sealed]
You're assuming that I actually know people whose talents don't involve stabbing people or blowing them up.
[They're just going to talk circles around each other all day.]
[Sealed]
I take that as a, 'no' then.
[They really are.]
But now, it's never too late to start! There's an abundance of books and other learned materials available in the library. I'm sure you could find something in there to help.
[Sealed]
[Don't go leading him on now.]
Never been much of a reader myself. Too many words and not enough pictures.
[Sealed]
[Jack's grinning over here. He likes this.]
At least you can read. There's many a man who is not able to read the name on the bottle they're drinking- if there's a label to begin with.
[Sealed]
That wouldn't be a veiled confession would it?
[Sealed]
A confession of knowing how?- yes. I regret to inform you that you have come across a learned scallywag.
[Frightening isn't it?]
One simply can not be a captain and have no idea how to read the map, now eh?
Now then, there might be two ways of going about this, to address the purpose that this originally started with, as I see it. We find a blacksmith in this crowd of crazy misfits to help us in the case, or you could possibly use this-
[To which the video switches on and shows a silver ring- with a large faceted green stone- with skulls on either side of it. Its the only ring that Jack does not have a sentimental attachment to besides " it's really shiney, and been with me for a long time, oh yeah and that pirate thing".]
[Sealed]
[Utterly.
Hawke looks at the ring, tilting his head slightly.]
It doesn't exactly scream 'romantic gift' but it's not like I know any blacksmiths in this place.
[Sealed]
[Jack snorts.]
I might-er- well I've heard of one at least, not that I know the lad myself.
[Sealed]
Really now? Don't suppose this lad would mind doing a bit of work?
[Sealed]
I wouldn't know- I haven't asked him yet.
[Sealed]
Perhaps you should.
[Sealed]
Lucky you, I say.
[Jack smirks.]
Not wear pants?

You know I've already said yes, right?

Sorry what was that? I didn't quite hear you. What did you call me?
[She just wants to hear it again. Vie still can't believe any of this is happening.]
no subject
Fiancee. Would you like me to write it in glitter on the walls so you remember?
no subject
[Something to be damn excited about.]
Forgive my enthusiasm. I'll start being bland and boring just for you.
